Today I decided to give my fairly new laptop a test on the PCGamer Minecraft demo. It was fine after some graphics tuning, so I decided to make base on an open beach of sorts. I got your basic wood plank shelter, just big enough for a crafting table and possibly a furnace in the near future, and I figured that the only way to keep mobs from spawning near my doorless/roofless shelter without torches, was using fire. 2x2 plank square far away from my shelter and trees was lit aflame and I turned to seek shelter from the creeper that was...creeping...and BAM! I'm seeing red and orange all around me! Apparently, the fire of the planks spread to a tree that was too far to logically make sense catching fire and the fire circled the whole demo world and made it's way to the tree behind my shelter and set it on fire as well.
Basically, the fire jumped through the air, set leaves which shouldn't be inflammable in the first case on fire, spread to nearby trees, and made its way to the back of my plank shelter.
I then reset the world and tried to be a bit more careful, which ended up with me on a journey to The Farlands and setting some cows aflame.
